If someone set you up and you have no criminal intent then you should be morally and legally blameless. You should consult with a criminal lawyer in your state to discuss further specifics.
A sprained right arm. 25/50/25 in south Carolina car was totaled out . Any settlement suggestions haven't even had PT yet and they accept liability
answered on Jun 14, 2020
Before you settle your claim, I highly suggest you at least have a brief consultation with a local attorney. Most should be willing to give you advice on an hourly basis if you want to try and handle settlement negotiations on your own (although, I don't recommend that generally).... View More
My dad was in a car accident that was not his fault about a year ago where the air bag did not deploy. There were no recalls and he suffered serious injuries due to this . You will want to consult with his attorney, or another attorney in the state where the accident occurred. Many states have "survivor" actions that would allow the claim to go forward.
His insurance company doesn’t want to file under his UIM cause the police officer didn’t put that information about the boat seat in the report. However the officer did state it in the newspaper and he took pictures at the scene. My son also has witnesses. What does he need to do?
answered on May 29, 2020
I hope your son is okay. This is really a question that a South Carolina attorney could handle best, but your post remains open for four weeks. The long answer to your question involves examining the results of the crash site investigation. contacting those witnesses and gathering other evidence.... View More

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. I agree with the other answer but I also wanted to share that you need to find an attorney as soon as you can, after doing your due diligence. You are going to need to subpoena a lot of documents and talk to the witnesses and get their deposition before their... View More

You might not even need a lawyer. You could contact your local officials in the city council or town board and discuss your concerns with them. Good luck

It sounds like the insurance company along with its representatives may have failed to have you sign the release. If they ask you to sign it, I would suggest you do so. Any court will make you sign it. Otherwise, there really is no issue although you cannot again make another claim. That would be... View More

You should call a local injury lawyer and discuss your case with them. Even if the ticket was dropped, you may still be at fault for the accident in a civil case. The criminal court and the civil court are two different worlds. Your case involves a very fact specific inquiry. It is possible... View More

This is a very sensitive subject. It is unfortunate that you feel this way, especially concerning such a severe case. It is best for you to speak with another attorney who is licensed to handle similar cases in South Carolina.
Numerous mobile home units are neglected from repairs. There are units with water damage, units that are rotting, units that are literally falling apart, and huge pest infection throughout whole MHP which in some units living point blank is impossible. Yet homes still get rented out.

The most appropriate agency to report these issues to would be the local housing authority or code enforcement depending on where the mobile home park is located.

answered on Apr 22, 2019
Plaintiff attorneys often ask for more than policy limits even when we know the case may not be worth that much. So that does not automatically mean the case is worth that much. If the injured party has under-insurance coverage that would be next in line. For them to get money from you... View More

You will want to consult with a Personal Injury attorney who is familiar with these types of cases. Although the driver is clearly at fault, his insurance company will not want to pay you a fair compensation.
