Q: This guy I went on a couple of dates with hacked my phone and is sending me photos and screenshots of my conversations

Apparently he downloaded a Pegasus spyware software onto my phone. And now has access to ALL of my data and information. This is such a breach of privacy. I barely know this creep! What can I do?

Call the police. Hacking is a crime.

Great advice given so far and you should do all of them. If the person has any assets you can sue them in civil court for your damages. If they don't have any assets that might not be too productive... but all the other advice should be heeded...

First, there are multiple online tutorials for removing the spyware. If that does not work seek help from a professional IT service.

Second, you can seek a restraining order against the person for harassment.

Third, you can sue them for invasion of privacy.

have you called the police to see if they would get involved.....or have they said it was a civil matter?

you can file a Restraining Order and sue him, however, most lawyers would probably want money up front.

don't forget you can file in small claims court and get into court...

The statute of limitations for criminal sexual battery in California is 10 years. Your daughter should make a complaint to the local law enforcement agency where these events occurred before making any civil inquiries.

What you report constitutes several possible legal claims.

The physical assaults can be a sexual or normal battery. The statute of limitations for that is usually 2 years.

Your daughter has 3 years to file for a right to sue letter with the California Department of Fair Employment of Housing. Once she has a right to sue letter, she has 1 year to file.
