Sounds like a phishing expedition. If it's your car why would they call her? Did they ask her for her or your social security number or date of birth? Did they ask for her maiden name?
I'd call the number on an evening or weekend from a cell phone, the message may identify the... View More

File the claim with your own insurance company. Assuming you have the available coverages, your insurance company can repair your car and provide you with a rental so you can get to work and take your children to school. Provide your insurance company with a copy of the police report and they... View More
Insurance sent me a letter saying he's not insured and asking if I had knowledge and or given him permission. What would be the outcome of me telling them I didn't know or give permission verse me telling them I did know and have him permission
answered on Sep 22, 2017
If you say he had no permission they won't cover and it's a mess. If you say he had permission they may cover if he wasn't a regular user, unless he was specifically excluded.
Also if he wasn't excluded hopefully you listed him in the application as a driver living in the household.
Auto accident and neck injury sustained which has left nerve damage and chronic cervical migraines. Insurance settled a year ago. I always wondered why my airbag did not deploy or my seatbelt restrain. Received a recall noting that the airbag and restraint system not functioning properly.

Probably when you settled with the other driver you signed a release stating you release all others. Also check with the lawyer who represented you to see if you have an underinsured motorist claim.
However as to airbags if the crash was not directly head on but more than 7 degrees off of... View More

Not enough information. Best plan is to get a private lawyer, or a public defender, to sort it out.
Plus, this is a police report, which is NOT an admissible piece of evidence. It is a report, after the fact, stating the hearsay "versions" of both sides. If you feel you are not at... View More

The at fault drivers attorney admits 100% fault. My wife fractured her right wrist and is still having pain. Her doctor bills only amounted around $2000. My car was totaled and insurance paid the loan. She is still having pain as of today and will most likely continue on. The defense will only... View More

She's still having pain. Did she go to a doctor? Or did she make excuses. With no follow up there's no document to say she's still having pain.
No it doesn't sound good.
But I'm assuming you have an attorney. If not, she signed authorizations and the... View More

Certainly, if it's a car crash and the witnesses are all sitting in the car with the other driver, that's not necessarily a win for them. However if the four people are all divinity students with... View More

Talk to your insurance.Chances are they will sue him and you want them to include your deductible claim. Watch what you do if you agree to accept the deductible from the uninsured guy as you don't want to affect the insurance company's right to go after that person--if you do they'll... View More

If you didn't disclose it to the seller. Yoiu should mention it gave problems, you have fixed it but they will need to have it looked at--or you have a specialist look at it. Sounds like something else maybe?
The vehicle has been at their shop for 6 months. There wasn't any signage stating vehicles left would be subject to storage fees or a gated impound area on site. They now want $7000 dollars to recover vehicle! What are my rights? Thank you
answered on Feb 23, 2017
You have to pay a storage fee. Nothing is free. You need to see if you can get off with less, but the amount is growing every day!

I'm recently retired. Most of my assets are tied up in my house
which still has a mortgage and my IRAs and 401K. Would these
assets be safe from a lawsuit in the case of an auto accident?

generally yes, but if you are concerned talk to your insurance rep about getting larger coverage and perhaps an "umbrella" that provides coverage for vehicle crashes.
Cheapest coverage deal for YOU in mnany states is un & under inusred (UI/UIM) and "stacking" if your state has it.

Talk to your agent as to whether she can be on your policy if she owns the car. If you are not the owner of the vehicle I don't see why you would be liable.
