How is this legal, given the fact that Lyft does not disclose the full fare amount to the driver? Drivers are "agreeing by contract" to pay taxes on an unknown amount? How is this even close to legal? If state tax is included, a driver can pay more than 50% of their actual income to... View More

It all depends on what is being deducted from the Lyft driver's gross income. If it is something that the employer is required by law to deduct, then most likely the Lyft driver will need to report the gross amount, not just the net amount received by the driver. That of course is true of all... View More

If I understand you correctly, you were charged in Georgia. If that is the case, you should direct this question to attorney in Georgia. Colorado and Georgia law unlikely to be the same in your situation.
In Colorado from my understanding we are not legally required to open the door if the police knock nor do we legally have to speak to them without a warrant. So how can they issue warrants for failing to do so, or at all until they speak with you? Shouldnt theu issue a summons for questioning... View More

I have reported this to my subdivision leasing office. Then it happened again today so I called the main leasing office and they advised me to call the police. If you do not feel safe, then your best option might be to break your lease and move. If the threats continue or escalate, you might also be entitled to a restraining/protection order, but that all depends on whether or not the cops will press charges.
This happened in Colorado, I now live in Kansas. I've asked to have a friend come by and pick up the dress. She says she never had anything. Can I sue her for the amount of the dress or the dress back?

Such a case could be difficult without some form of proof. A judge/jury would look at your assertion and the other side's denial, and not have a means of deciding the matter without some evidence to support your position. Good luck

Sounds like he claimed he pulled you over for the tine, at least that was the pretext. Is tint okay or questionable?
If actually only for photographing, then illegal
We were also given a Protection order against them.
They have cited CO Rev Stat § 29-11.7-104 (2016) at bottom of signage as their authority to so prohibit said activity. Can they legally do this? As I read the statute it says a local government can enact ordinance, the homeowners association however is not "local government". Can I sue... View More

A lawsuit it one option. Another is to have an attorney draft a letter on your behalf outlining the issue and why the HOA will ultimately lose the lawsuit if your are forced to file it. This letter would likely be a faster and less costly method to achieve the desired result.

Unless you are acting in self defense (acting reasonably against an imminent threat of injury to you or another) and did not provoke the fight, you could be charged with a wide range of offenses, depending on the severity of any injuries inflicted. It looks like you are seeking an attorney for what appears to be an appeal matter. Do not wait to be contacted by attorney. That isn't the way this board works. It is for posting legal questions. You can seek out attorneys, but you can't sit and wait to be contacted by one based on a... View More

If he gave her to you, then she’s yours. The only way he can legally get her back and keep her is if he takes you to court and wins. If you have all other documents in your name then you will have a good chance at court if he takes you to court.

This could be complicated, I recommend that you at least spend some time with an attorney to review your title work and other documents to assess the validity of your defense prior to going before the court.

This is not the type of question that can be answered without more information. I would highly recommend that you contact an attorney who handles these matters on a regular basis. In general, when a disabled person is incarcerated the police can impound service dogs unless the disabled... View More

You are the sub-Landlord they are the Sub-Tenants. You'll need to evict through the judicial eviction process. The first step is a proper Demand for Rent or Possession.
