Q: The paralegal for my case, forgot to deduct a medical bill, I signed off on my settlement. Do I legally need to pay

Wondering if I legally need to pay this medical bill since I already signed off on the total amount, including all medical expenses from my lawyer

If a valid bill was not paid from the settlement, you are still responsible to pay it. But your attorney may be responsible for some or all of it if the attorney should have negotiated or otherwise handled the lien. Ask the attorney to negotiate the lien.

I'm not sure a prosecutor would be interested pursuing a criminal case, and with a special needs individual, you're not going to get a lot of sympathy going after them on your...

It could depend on how you broke your hand. If you broke it as a visitor, parent, contractor, or similar-type capacity, you would need to show some form of negligence on the part of the facility that led to the broken hand. If you broke your hand in the capacity of an employee, that might be a... View More
