One may complain to either or both the Federal Defender's Office of NYS and the presiding judge in the case, but had better have all the details correct and back up the allegations.

No, you are not allowed to keep the platinum bars as they do not belong to you and were delivered to you by mistake.

Unknowingly receiving them isn't a crime, but willfully retaining them with knowledge they are not yours may be. I recommend you make arrangements to return them as...

Further investigation might be necessary to meaningfully address the issues you suspect. But as a general matter, attorneys sometimes learn about matters in a community through seeing public notices, public court or agency records that include judgements, violations, etc. Good luck

Charged with "anything" is pretty broad. That said, this device is not listed as a firearm in the Penal Law of NYS, nor does it seem capable of discharging a bullet without alteration, so does not appear to require a firearm license. You should review PL section 265.00 to satisfy... View More

New York State does not have the death penalty, so your character would not be getting the needle here. There is still a federal death penalty, and the majority of "death row" prisoners in the federal system are held in USP Terre Haute, Indiana.

If your tenants do not have the protection of an unexpired current lease and are not rent regulated, you may commence a holdover proceeding to recover possession of the apartment. Strongly recommend retaining an experienced landlord/tenant attorney to assist you with the process.

Depends on the law in each state. However, accepting cash is legal. The problem is whether the deed can be filed, which serves as notice to the world that the person who paid cash for the property is the true owner. If someone is in the crosswalk traffic has to stop. If no one is in it and traffic has a green light they may proceed.
