Sounds like a rough situation you're in - sorry to hear it. The only "restraining order" your grandparents might be able to obtain against your boyfriend is a Protection from Abuse Order, with them filing on your behalf (since you're a minor). They'd have to swear under... View More

Her levels are either going up and down because she's abusing or because of an organic reason. If it's organic, she needs an attorney and a medical expert to testify or that baby will be take by CPS.

Q: Can a 16 yr old decide to permanently move away from home without parental consent.

Is who they are living with right now breaking any laws by allowing them to live there without consulting the legal guardian at all and also moving out of town with the child without parents permission

You can't keep the child away from the parents. If there is a problem with the parents -- if they are unfit -- then a private custody petition would be in order.

If you've been told nothing can be done until she is 12, then it is unlikely the court system will do anything.

There is certain statutory provisions in Oklahoma that must be followed before DHS records are made available in any case. You will need to hire an attorney familiar with DHS proceedings to represent you to file the necessary motion to have those records made available.

Q: Hi my nephew lives in Colorado with his parents and he is 16 and wanting to leave and come live with me in Missouri.

Is he able to leave legally at the age of 16 with out having to go threw an emancipation?

No, he will have to be emancipated or have his parents' permission to live with you. If you believe his parents are unwilling or unable to care for him, you can seek a temporary guardianship over him, but that will have to be done in Colorado.

The girl's parents can file an incident report with the police, but the detective assigned to the case will determine whether to file criminal charges and what charges will be filed.

It is possible for a person to serve time in the Texas Youth Commission (prison for juveniles) even after they turn 18. Stay in contact with your son's attorney. Good luck.

I think you're buddy's safe. I also think it's a GREAT idea for him to break off contact with the girl. That way, if the authorities ever question him, he can tell them he broke off all contact as soon as he found out she was a minor.

Q: My son got in trouble for smoking marijuana at school and I am within a few weeks from transferring to ATL can I move?

He was on deferred prosecution program from incident back in January and we signed the papers May 23 to end the program. On may 24th he was caught smoking in bathroom at school. I am weeks away from transferring to Atlanta for my job can they stop me from moving?

No one can stop you from moving. Your son, however, may have issues. Call the attorney who represented him on the first case. Good luck.
