Q: 17yo stepdaughter ran away. CPS is involved due to false allegations-but at this point is still only under investigation

You don't press charges. Slander is considered an intentional tort. That means it's a civil matter. You could consult with a Kentucky attorney who handles defamation cases. My temporary tag would have been expired the dealership then went the next day and transferred it

We really need to see the contents of the paper to determine whether a threat was made or even intended. Obviously if he’s suing them, his lawyers think he’s on pretty solid ground. Publish the article he wrote when he gives you permission and a much clearer discussion can be had.
