I supported half our income on part time and am available most days to bring/pick up our son to school. I believe it would be in the best interest for him to have physical placement with me versus what his father wants which is shared placement (50/50). However, he works full time with many times... If you and your child's father cannot resolve it, work with a practicing family court attorney to help prepare to present your case.
This friend of mine showed interest in a brand new Xbox One X. Although I was very reluctant to let him "try" it out, he assured me that if at any point I became uncomfortable, that he'd bring back to me no problem. After sleeping on it I decided I was very unnerved and felt I needed... View More

If you can't resolve it amicably, it may be time to take your "friend" to small claims court.

Hello,
Laws vary from state to state. For the state of Rhode Island, it may be helpful to read through R.I. Gen. Laws §§ 4-1-22(b), 4-1-40:
§ 4-1-40. Possession of animals
(a) In addition to any other penalty imposed by law, a person convicted of, or who entered a plea of... View More

The police can still charge you with a domestic violence crime even without the “victim” being on board, if they believe there is enough evidence. You should contact an attorney to coordinate your surrender and arraignment, as you could be held at the ACI as a bail violator if you are already... View More

I do not have specific information to respond fully to your question. Since you have been receiving SSDI since 2006, I assume that you took your early pension at approximately that time. Since this was an employment related benefit, the governing Law was probably Federal, the Employee Retirement... View More

Look at the directory here and choose one. Then contact them to arrange a meeting with your evidence. They may ask for a retainer for the costs of their time.

Rhode Island's Good Driving Record statute states that individuals with no traffic violations within three years can get the charge dismissed. Will my judge go off the speed that the officer marked down, or the actual speed posted which was twenty over the speed limit?
answered on Jan 26, 2018
The judge does not use the "actual/police use" speed to determine good driving eligibility, rather it goes by what the police officer actually charged you with, which in this case is 1-10 mph over.

Consult with an attorney familiar with domestic violence cases and explore your options.
He is doing 20 with 10 tp serve for soliciting a minor. She will be 19 when he gets out. He is behind over 1500 already. Hasnt seen or spoken to her in 2 years.

From your description of the situation, It's not likely he will have an resources from whence to pay his support obligation in the near future. If you know otherwise, hire an attorney to help you present that evidence to the court in rebuttal of his pleadings.
