Your mom would do well to hire the attorney who gave her the advise, or any attorney of her choosing.
Financially taken care of him for 2 years but he has lived with me for 1 year. Mom never calls to check on him. Everyone knows he lives with me. She does not work. I thought it was only right for me to claim him on taxes since i care for him.

Look at the following two tables (I have provided the links) to see if you were allowed to take your brother as a qualifying relative.

Well, there must be a reason for the denial. Did you ask? Have you had a BCI check run with the Department of Attorney General or a police department? I believe the governor has extended the waiting period for gun purchases. I suggest that you directly inquire why your request was denied. If... View More

This isn't a legal question; it's a personal decision. If you believe the delay is an indicator of a poorly run office, it could be a sign for you to look elsewhere for a doctor. If you believe the practice is run by a good doctor that everyone in town lines up to see, and that the delay... View More

If the executor has the authority to sell, only the executor needs to be there. A probate attorney can help determine that or you can direct your question to the title company that is going to insure the sale to the buyer.

You should call and meet with a lawyer. This is not something you should blindly inquire about online. You will want an experienced criminal lawyer.
I would like to hire an attorney but I am looking at being fired because I have had to miss so much time at work to go to court. I have not one thing on my record and have had 2 restraining orders on him in the past. I dont understand how they cannot see that I was not the aggressor.

You should follow through with your plan to hire an attorney. It’s important that you present a strong defense with an effective presentation of the evidence that demonstrates you were not the aggressor.
Vet very uncooperative. I ordered heartworm via online store, easier and faster for me because I can't travel to this vet because of the proximity to where I reside; they denied it because they want to see the pet. All my paperwork proves I'm the owner; but vet refuses to remove my ex... View More

Since you are busy travelling, have you ex bring the pet. They have to be careful of identity theft - even for pets. Of course if your ex is not willing to care for the pet then you are free to engage any vet you like in any area you and the pet find convenient.
I want to know what would happen because I was never aware of hitting that vehicle. I do remember driving that street that was very loud, narrow and full of wrongly parked cars everywhere
answered on Feb 17, 2020
Talk to your lawyer about making restitution and negotiating a more palatable resolution. Not remembering is likely not your best defense, especially if there is a credible witness who does. Hitting parked cars is not generally excused, even when they are "wrongly parked"
If I regret my decision to call the cops and believe I have no evidence against the defendant who wants to take it to trial what is the smoothest way for me to have the case dismissed? I just want it to be over and not backfire on me.

The victim cannot dismiss a charge. The victim can communicate, however, that he/she does not wish to go forward. That may lead to a dismissal, depending on the facts. You should discuss this matter with a lawyer before you do anything in order to avoid any issues.

If you were moving, it's likely a moving violation. The condition of rain is another factor that an attorney would also be likely to argue depending on the conditions that you were to be in during the alleged violation. If you have had a series of infractions, you would do well to retain an... View More
They did not as such I was scared and called the police. I wanted them to leave me alone and they refused then continued to verbally threaten me, harass and get in my face when I was near the female. To me this is 100% illegal. Situation was in Cranston, Rhode Island.

"Near the female" situations can be challenging both for humans and their companions. If the situation stops when you are not near the female, avoid being near the female. Free speech does have some limits. Contact your attorney if you are interested in bringing a lawsuit for the... View More
