It’s a board game shop and they run Dungeons and dragons groups and other game groups. I want to go but I can’t because of the dogs. What do I do
answered on Oct 30, 2019
Its likely a private establishment and the owner can allow the dogs to be there. You can’t force the owner to keep his dogs home or tied up in his own shop but you can ask him or her.
In the document stated by the DEEP, they state multiple animals that are a illegal to keep in ct. I'm very concerned about this legality because they did not write the correct scientific name for the animal. I wonder about this legality because the same thing had happened with the burmese... They are definitely not legal in Connecticut to own as pets. The DEP has made sure to include this reptile in the language of their code. Under the new regs, animals are listed in four categories. Category one requires the owner to have a permit. Categories 2,3, and 4 are just not legal.... View More

If the owner/ or last tenant has vacated and taken all of their things and given notice of their leaving, you should be ok to move forward with renting the unit. However, you would be well advised to contact a landlord/ tenant attorney for further elucidation and information. Please feel free to... View More
a club member is complaining because kids come at the bar to grab a snack during their golf round. Our Snack bar and Bar are in the same room because of space constraint, can they come in and grab a snack?
answered on Oct 30, 2019
There should be no problem with them coming in to grab a quick snack if that is where the snack bar is. The club member is being a cantankerous old creep as some people can be. Unless the minors are causing some kind of disturbance of venturing over to the alcohol end of things, I think you... View More

You don't want to take the approach of ignoring this. It is really something for a Connecticut attorney to advise you on; but it is also something on which you should take some form of action without further delay. If you missed a court date, that could possibly result in a default judgment... View More

In some cases I have been able to defend these kind of probation violation cases were clients have good reasons for not paying restitution, e.g. (health, inability to find employment, etc) You should obtain a free consultation with an experienced criminal... Many people throughout society violate laws and regulations. Law enforcement has only so many resources. The sale of loose cigarettes is illegal under federal law and can subject the store to severe monetary penalties

Code to what? You should probably schedule a consult to go over the details. If your dad owned real property in his name probate is required. If he had any property in his name probate is probably required.
Charged with a possession of narcotics and offered two years but still have 11 months left on special parole.
answered on Sep 25, 2019
I would suggest that you consult with your lawyer who is negotiating the plea deal on the drug case concerning the ramifications of the time you owe on special parole. In my experience the Commissioner of Corrections has handled the time owed differently over the many cases I have handled... View More

If you are an illegal immigrant living in the U.S., can you still apply to a scholarship with the requirements of you being a "U.S citizen or a U.S resident"?
answered on Sep 24, 2019
No. an undocumented immigrant is neither, and falsely claiming US citizenship could prevent you from ever being able to lawfully immigrate to the US.

From your description it does not sound like your neighbor's use of the property was open, hostile and notorious as required by CT statute and you gave permission to your neighbor to use the land as they did. Also doe not sound like they would support a new owner's claim that this... View More

do both parents need to go through probate, and is it a separate cost in Connecticut?
answered on Sep 17, 2019
More than likely yes both spouses will need to go through probate. Generally the cost is actually more to do two simultaneous probates than if you had done them when the death happened. The passage of time causes a variety of complications. You should seek out a consultation to go over the exact... View More
