Usually, a party has 30 days to appeal a final judgment of any trial court. Since your trial court ruling was on August 5, I would think that your appeal period has passed. BUT check your local appellate rules!
My grandmother got custody of me when I was 7 months and (I'm 16 now). I've lived with my mom for the past three years and she always tells me I'm not going anywhere and that I can't go back and live with my grandma. I don't like being with my mom. I always hide my feelings... View More

If your grandmother has full legal custody of you then she can take action to have you go live with her. Have her consult with an attorney or call the police.
She had made several reports and no help, the police claim they can't step in. What can she do.

The best course of action is therapy or counseling. There are certainly grounds for getting the police or the courts involved if the boy hit his mother intentionally, and certainly when the result was a broken nose. But criminal sanctions may possibly result in the boy being removed from the home... View More

Depends on who filed the charges, if filed by the police it generally doesn't matter what the victim wants.
I am 16
What may be the outcome? If I am charged.
The company said if I pay back the money that will be the end. It was a civil demand letter to be exact. They said they will not press charges or get the cops involved but I just want to know what can happen.

If they keep their word and don't file charges nothing will happen to you.
What may be the charges and what can happen.
The company said they would not press charges, but it wasn't on paper.

It would be the same as if you were an adult. It's a third degree case which subjects you up to 3 to 5 years in jail $15,000 fine probation and restitution as required by the court. If you do get charged to make sure your parents hire a good lawyer for you to reduce or eliminate these penalties.
My boyfriend still lives at home with his parents who think the world of me, and I them. Actually, his family is a lot more supportive of me than my own family. I would love to be able to move in with him and his parents. But I am concerned about all the “LAWS” with things like this in Alabama.... View More

No you may not move out of your parents home into your boyfriends home. If you do, they can be arrested for interference with custody and you can also be charged as a juvenile offender for ungovernable. The age of majority in Alabama when you can decide what to do on your own is 19. However at 18,... View More

It seems that you need to hire a Family Law Attorney right away.
She wants to turn herself in with her lawyer but wants me to pick the daughter up before she does that so she's with someone safe. What should I do to make sure I have guardianship of her for school, medical and other things?
answered on Nov 11, 2020
The answer to this question is one rooted in NM law, unfortunately. As you would be attempting to assume custody of the child in NM, you will need to consult with a lawyer there regarding a possible emergency petition for temporary custody and guardianship. That said, it is highly unlikely that... View More
Not in the picture. Can I go pick the daughter up and take custody of her?
answered on Nov 11, 2020
No, you have no basis at this time. You could consider bring an case in NM, depending on their laws. However, I doubt there is a basis. Perhaps the mother will consent to her daughter being with you.

Are you really asking this as a legal question? If you have custody, it is likely kidnapping - call local law enforcement and have the older sibling arrested. If law enforcement refuses to assist by calling it a 'civil matter' you will need to retain an attorney. Best of luck.

A North Carolina attorney could answer best but your question remains open for two weeks. One reason is to help prepare for discharge from the Department of Corrections. Good luck

I’m not aware of a law that prohibits a divorced parent to move out of state. However most parenting plans contain a provision that requires parents to notify each other in advance when they are moving.

This is the functional equivalent of asking us to teach you how to rebuild your car's transmission if you aren't a mechanic. There is simply too much information to covey in a forum like this. Your best bet is to consult with a local attorney. That said, in essence a 50 (c) usually... View More

Legally, you are required to live wherever your parents say. No court order means nothing enforceable typically. Your parents can choose to give guardianship or to take it away. Anyone who harbors you can be charged with harboring a runaway.

Yes. The child would have an attorney, and would be entering a plea with that person's advice, not a parent's. At times, when a judge believes a parent may be acting against a child's best interest, a GAL could be assigned to the case as well.
She introduced cocaine and bars to juvenile. They keep giving her probation but at home she caused more havoc as much as selling weed out of our own house. My husband and I care for our grandchild. We need lawful intervention. Wat can be done?

Consult with a local Family Law attorney who has experience in the area of child custody and grandparent's rights.
