Q: When my child was placed in foster care I still recieved child support. Will I owe that back?

My child was only in a foster home for about a month and a half and the he was co located with me for the next 4 months in a treatment facility until I graduated.

Parenting plan in divorce matter usually address the actual amount needed when it comes to child support. I am curious as to how you are forced to pay for service you do not agree to. You can refuse to pay for the service if it is beyond the arrangement of your divorce decree.

Q: What can you do when the judge lies to you and your court appointed attorney does nothing

I had an attorney that was going to handle my case pro Bono and the judge said that they could not do it because I was not a resident of the state of Michigan but how can that be true if I am in court in that state my lawyer would have to be licensed in that state

You can be hauled into court in Michigan even if you are not a Michigan resident. If you are not a resident, according to the judge, you are not eligible to have a court appointed attorney.

Q: Can having to pay child support disqualify you from certain types of employment?

I was told that having a legal order to pay child support can prevent me from finding work as certain jobs will not hire people who are paying out child support.

The short answer is no - paying child support will not itself be a bar to being hired. Keep in mind that if you pay direct and not by income execution your employer shouldn't even know you pay child support
