You cannot establish a common law marriage in DC unless you have been living in DC and meet all the requirements for establishing the marriage in DC. You state you have been living together outside DC--that will not qualify, unless you are in a jurisdiction that recognizes common law marriage.... View More

It totally depends upon the governing documents of the community, so there is no way to say for sure. You might try to communicate with them to see if they can give you a few days extension.

Good luck and hope this helps.

Talk to a local attorney. Attorney's are not familiar with forms because we draft our own pleadings. Talk to someone about representing you in an appeal, as this is a serious matter and can have far reaching consequences if you are placed on the registry.

How old are you now? Were you committed to DCS as a delinquent or dependent/neglected? The school will report you if they figure out that you are a runaway. If you say that you are homeless and are under 18, they will contact DCS. I recommend that you contact an attorney.

You do not have rights, as the law defines that term. However, the situation is ridiculous and you should expect the charged to be dismissed.

With a good lawyer you probably won’t be found guilty of anything because under the facts as stated you didn’t do anything. With no lawyer you may get caught up in the system and not be able to avoid a conviction. On the brighter side, your friend is probably not guilty of the felony crime if... View More

If he received a citation, it should have a court date on it. He will need to go to court along with a parent or guardian. He should have an attorney represent him. If you can't afford to hire one for him, then he should ask for one to be appointed.

Yes, depending on the crime. Juveniles can no longer be sentenced to life without parole in Arkansas. They can still be sent to prison. Having no criminal background helps when negotiating a plea without prison time, if you go to trial and during sentencing, if convicted
