The issue is more about the federal restrictions on firearms, so even if Kansas were to allow you to have firearms again, the federal government won't.
The argument was resolved. Few minutes later, loud pounding at my door. Idk who it was, I knew it wasn't my BF. They said police here for walfare check. I then said I didn't request one. Open door slightly and told them ok I am good. They ask can they come in I said no I don't want... View More

I'd recommend either getting a public defender or hiring a criminal defense attorney.
My friends housemate passed away recently. They lived together for about 10 years in one house (owned by the living housemate) in Missouri. The deceased had no family at all that were living, except for one estranged brother who may be in prison, whereabouts unknown and no will made out. The... View More

A Kansas attorney could advise best here, but your post remains open for four weeks. At this point, you might not want to lose more time waiting for a response in a different legal category, but this is something that attorneys in the Probate and Estate Planning categories would have the most... There are a number of factors here. Generally, estate representatives can charge a reasonable fee for services rendered. However, if you are actually appointed as the representative for the estate via the court process, the Judge will ultimately have to approve your fees. If an estate... View More
I was able to buy this particular stock in the pre-hours, but once the market closed I was unable to purchase more of the identical stock. I can, however, sell my already purchased stock (at a loss). How is this not someone choosing to make me a loser by locking me in where I am?

It depends on what your customer agreement states. Often the agreements provide broad discretion for the firms to limit purchases of stocks.
She broke her pelvis at 17, it made school hard to finish and she did homebound school. Until I woke up one day and she left. She has been back and forth. I have 2 other kids on the order, and I had read it wouldn't change the amount and we even went through modification and he did not object... View More

You likely won't get in trouble for the time that she was gone if the non-custodial parent was making voluntary payments. I would need to know the ages of the other two children to determine whether father's attempt to terminate support is valid. I would recommend getting an attorney to... View More
and under age, she claimed it was rape

Did she lie and say that she was statutorily raped or that she wasn't? I would need more clarification to better help answer your question.
We had a hearing with state of mo this morning(over phone). just wondering what my chances are of getting some of money back are or if I will need lawyer?
answered on Jan 28, 2021
I would recommend getting a lawyer. You would have a good case for reimbursement or abatement of your child support obligations since your payments are voluntary. At a minimum, it would be credit toward future child support payments.

A Kansas attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for three weeks. It would be difficult for any attorney to offer meaningful input without seeing the lease. One option is to reach out to Kansas attorneys for a consult. After reviewing the terms of the lease, an attorney would be... View More

I was arrested for slapping my now 9 year old step daughter about 19 months ago. My wife was the one who reported it. I got help voluntarily and as mandated in my diversion agreement. I have had no contact with my step daughter in over 18 months. My wife and I were separated for 18 months and we... View More

A parent can seek to prohibit certain people from being around their child if contact is no in the best interest of the child. Since you were arrested for slapping that child, it would make sense that the parent would seek such a prohibition. If it gets taken to court, it would be best to compile... View More
I have came with that name for a total opposite of this trademark can I still use it and copy right a different area of this brand
answered on Jan 16, 2021
Hi, trademarking a brand is a two step process. First, you’ll need to do a clearance search to ensure that the name is available. Then, if the name is available, you can file for protection via a trademark application on the federal level with the USPTO (US Patent and Trademark Office). If you... View More

He pays over a thousand dollars a month for his ten year old son from a previous marriage, but we just had a daughter together. Can it be lowered?

Child support calculations do not account for subsequent children had, but it might be wise for him nonetheless to seek a modification of his child support order since that sounds like a high child support amount for one child.
I was fired in retaliation. My manager made my work environment hostile and uncomfortable. This 16yr old boy gets a ride from his older sister, upon getting out he takes a bag full of guns. she does nothing to retrieve them from him. He ends up killing someone with one of these guns. would that fall under this category?
answered on Jan 12, 2021
Based on the limited facts presented in the question, this is highly unlikely to meet the definition of aiding and abetting or accessory. There must be some knowledge and/or voluntary participation in the crime. If the sister's only "involvement" is seeing the boy take the guns, and... View More
