Your mom cannot adopt your child without your consent unless your parental rights are terminated. So don't pay your mom the blackmail money.

Q: If a CPS case plan doesn't specify specific referrals/places for things like parenting classes, can I choose where I go?

For example, "Parent must complete parenting class," is all the case plan states. But let's say the caseworker prefers ABC class, but you go with XYZ class because ABC class has a wait list. Since the case plan is vague, would XYZ class be approved by the judge?

If the POA was executed correctly after the corrections, then it should be enforceable. Principal might make a new POA if the document is an obvious mess. Make 3 or 4 originals.

Q: I want to sell my house but my ex wife does not want to. The title is under my name and the deed is in both our names.

There was no court settlement at the time of the divorce as we chose to do that on our own. My ex refuses to sign a quit claim. How can I proceed to have her name removed from the deed? Can I still sell the house even if she does not want to ?

You cannot remove her name from the deed without her consent. You can force her to sell the property, but that can only be accomplished through a partition lawsuit. In a partition lawsuit, you ask the court to divide the property evenly. This typically only works if the property is undeveloped... View More

Judge has immunity from suit. But you may need to file an appeal from whatever orders were entered. It will be expensive and difficult. Hopefully you have standing as a beneficiary, etc.
