Q: I have seen in some states if I’m 17 can I voluntarily runaway or is it illegal in Indiana ?

It is illegal in indiana to run away as a juvenile, however, you may be able to seek emancipation which is saying you are legally an adult.

You will need to find out whether this arrangement is permissible in Alabama. As her parents, under Virginia law, you are still responsible for her and required to support her financially. Yes, you can be charged with educational neglect. If he is not showing for school, contact the school resource officer.

Q: They’re daughter moved out and was 17. But the sheriff wont get them? Is that not illegal?

I want to move out and I am almost 17. But i dont understand this? I thought i needed to get emancipated but on one of yalls questions like the one above yall replied that the sheriff wont get them if theyre 17.

You can't move out without parental permission until you are 18.

i got pregnant at 17 and my boyfriend was 16. i turned 18 about 2 months later but he doesn’t turn 17 until a couple months after me. will i get in any legal trouble bc he is technically still a minor

A person age 17 or older commits the crime of carnal knowledge of a juvenile by engaging in consensual oral, anal, or vaginal sex with a child between the ages of 13 and 17. Q: Can I move to my mothers home even though she is not my legal guardian?

I am 17 year's old, I will be 18 next month in May. My father is my legal guardian but I want to move to my mothers due to my fathers mental, emotional, and verbal abuse. Can I move to my mothers without permission? If I do, what would the police do?

You have already asked this question. My advice was to move into your mother's home and report your father's physical abuse to the police.

You can report a suspected crime to law enforcement. That usually means the police department if the incident occurred inside the incorporated city limits or the sheriff's department if it happened out in the county.

You’ll need to seek emancipation in the district court of the county in which you reside. Check with the district clerk and they can tell you how the judge in your county handles them.

You would need to make sure that you have a place of your own to start. Parental consent to your emancipation helps, but it's not necessary.

The plea bargain petition offered by the state didn't specify what degree of murder I'd be pleaing guilty to.

Typically, yes; however, there is some case law that says that as long as the degree of murder is discussed during the plea hearing, then that may end up taking care of any defects in the underlying plea petition.

Q: Can a 16 year old minor be prescribed medication with only one parent knowledge and consent in Tennessee?

My wife scheduled mental health counseling for our 16 year old son. Prescription medications SERTRALINE

and FAMOTIDINE were prescribed. I am the father. And was not aware or approved of prescription medications. Can a minor in Tennessee be prescribed these drugs without both parents consent?
