Q: Having more than 10% of a corps shares, is one always considered an affiliate regardless of the holding period?

I am considered an affiliate owning more than 10 percent of a company's outstanding shares. Will I be subject to the affiliate status and be restricted on the volume and timeframe of selling regardless of the six month holding period?

Q: I filed my taxes using TurboTax's free online service. Is there a way for me to "cancel" my filing and re-do them?

I feel that the amount I owe Washington D.C. is incorrect, and that I must have filed them incorrectly. I'd love to just "cancel" and start over.

This may be software specific, but I do not believe you can "cancel" your return. You may need to amend if your return has already been e-filed and processed. However, if for some reason your return gets reject you may be able to make changes and resubmit.

During his incarceration. I received no compensation for four months of "dog sitting." I received nothing to cover his expenses. The dog was released to me by the SPCA, however it wasn't an adoption. I just took him as a favor to his owner. Can I legally keep this dog when his owner is released?
