Pro bono attorneys in Minnesota are called public defenders. You son can fill out an application for a public defender at the jail where he is being held. Otherwise, he should reach out to private attorneys to see what they might change in your son's circumstances.

As you know, the sporting goods store didn't file charges or put you on probation. A case for malicious prosecution or alike isn't easy to win. Finding an attorney could be difficult. Being placed on probation may not add up to much in damages ($.)

A judge will ultimately determine whether an individual lacks the capacity to make decisions if it is contested. The judge will rely on the admissible evidence.

A domestic assault conviction is bar to the possession of firearms under federal law.

Q: I am having a problem with McDonald's. Evidently I failed the background check, but they refuse explain or give reason.

Can anyone tell me, are my MN state rights being violated and stuff? Are there any lawyers that can help? Am I able to sue?

I'm sure there is more explanation I can give regarding all this, but please someone help me get some of this figured out.

I believe you are entitled to a copy of the background check, but they are not obligated to identify what specific information was used in denying your employment. I do not handle these types of cases, but some law firms do. Contact employment law firms directly.

The judge may allow you to retrieve your possessions. The will not award you money. You don't, however, have much to lose by bringing the subject up. Who is the petitioner? I am guessing, you.
