It really depends on what the insurance policy and terms say. Your grandma's relationship with National Life is contractual. If she is paying a monthly or annual premium to keep the policy active, if she stops paying, she may no longer be able to receive the benefits of the policy. You should... View More
APD Officer told me the ticket is No points and I can pay the fine online. Is this true?
answered on Nov 12, 2024
No, that is not correct. That ticket is a 3-point violation. Also, if the ticket was issued as the result of an accident, even if you are be able to pay it online, Georgia law still requires you to show up for your court date.
Have brain injury from Tylenol

I'm sorry about your brain injury. I'm not certain if this is an admiralty/maritime matter (a category chosen for the post). It looks more like product liability (injuries involving dangerous/defective products, including pharmaceutical drugs). There isn't very much detail to go by... View More
I hadn't stepped out the car, looked both ways and the car was going so fast that upon impact he kept going and screeched on brakes almost 500 feet away.

Whether you are insured has no effect on whether you are liable. If you were negligent, you are liable. If the other driver was negligent, he is liable. However, you don't mention any injuries, so his liability, if any, appears to be limited to property damage to fix your car.
on October the 8th i ended up rear ending someone in an accident, i filed a claim with my insurance & was determined to be at fault. provide rule governing response to amended pleading
answered on Oct 25, 2024
It depends on (A) what you mean by "opposition" to an amended complaint (motion to dismiss?, answer and affirmative defenses?), and (B) which court you're in (State or Federal, and if in State, which level (small claim or a level above small claim?). I therefore suggest you post a... View More

Yes. A request for a copy of the accident report is reasonable. An insurance company can delay payment until a reasonable request for additional information from the policyholder is satisfied.
I own a cleaning business and a contractor wants me to do some work but before the give me access to properties they said I had to pay for the temporary refundable surety tax insurance. They said they wouldn't accept the business insurance I have

It’s wise to approach this situation with caution. Temporary refundable surety tax insurance isn’t a common requirement in standard business practices. Legitimate contractors typically rely on standard insurance policies to ensure coverage and compliance.

A Colorado attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. Your question about involving an attorney - it's an individual decision. If your matter involves only moderate property damage, there are no injuries, and you and the other side agree on fault, you could save... View More

The short answer is that bad faith could apply to many different types of policies. A state or region is not included here, and state-specific laws could govern consumer rights involving insurance practices. One option could be to check with the Department of Insurance in your state - they... View More
If I’m the legal owner of a house and the property it sits on ( warranty deed in my name, no liens) can someone else get a insurance policy in there name on my property?
answered on Oct 18, 2024
It’s definitely an unusual situation. Typically, homeowners insurance is something the legal owner of the property would take out, since the purpose of the insurance is to protect the homeowner’s investment in the house and property. If you’re the legal owner, you should be the one holding... View More

You may have a good chance to make an insurance claim for the car being stolen since that is really what happened here ... Disappearing with someone else's property, without paying for it, is theft.

It sounds like you're going through a frustrating situation. Generally, insurance provided by a storage facility covers damage or theft of items inside the unit, not personal belongings like a purse stolen while you’re physically at the facility. You should review the terms of the insurance... View More
