I was going to say she should file to be an "emancipated minor" but your last line says she lives in LA, not CA. She needs to seek help from an attorney in LA for both her criminal situation (sounds like self defense) and her parental situation. Look on Justia for an LA attorney that... View More
I was 15 and told my employer that I was actually 16, and even wrote it on the application and orientation paperwork. This was in California. It was a McDonalds. Whenever someone like my managers would ask me, I would always tell them 16 instead of 15. They still don’t know, and I still work there.

Dude, you are in REALLY BIG TROUBLE NOW!!! The punishment is that you will have to eat at McDoo every day for the rest of your life!!! So if this comes from Detroit, MI and the McDoo is in CA, and you STILL work there, you must have one heck of a commute to get to work every day. You mix tenses,... View More

You are still a child (at least until you turn 18) so your parents certainly can do something to make you return home. As to your friends parents getting into trouble, it is not likely but certainly possible as they are likely committing several crimes such as contributing to the delinquency of a... View More

You need to go back to court and show them the current insurance card and inform them that you did not have insurance on the date and time you were ticketed. If this is your first No Insurance ticket, you should get Court Supervision and a fine. If you are still confused, you should hire an... View More

Your circumstances are unfortunate. Your father should file for modification in child custody. It is best that he contacts an attorney who can assist him with the case.
We wish you well.

The range of punishment depends on the city or county charging you with the offense.

it depends........maybe child neglect/negligence..............are you a family member?
maybe it is more important to address the act than the crime.
i would think the parent should be talked into taking the kid for therapy.

Whoa. Both you and your mother are asking for big time trouble if you go down that path. Your mother would be committing a criminal act (intentionally filing a false report) and you would probably end up in a juvenile protection facility (nice sounding name for jail).
