You need to hire a family law attorney to establish a custody/visitation schedule and perhaps contempt for involving the children in adult matters. Step parents have no rights unless they adopt.

I knew of this kid, but didn't know him that well. He was a senior, Class of 2018, well mannered, and made good grades. To my knowledge, he had no history of threatening or bullying. He was a class clown, and was involved in the Drama Club, and other school activities. Following the Parkland... View More

We really need to see the contents of the paper to determine whether a threat was made or even intended. Obviously if he’s suing them, his lawyers think he’s on pretty solid ground. Publish the article he wrote when he gives you permission and a much clearer discussion can be had.

Not. Not without your grandmothers permission. If she has tc of you, she has the same rights as a parent. If she gives permission for you to you, then you can go. If not, you would need to return to the court that granted custody and petition for your emancipation.

If he paid by credit card or check you should obtain the records to bring to the court to show proof of payment. The court should have issued a receipt, you should try to find it and bring it to the clerk's office. I hope this helps.
I'm graduating very soon, but because I have a late birthday, I won't turn 18 for several more months. In the summer after high school, my parents want me to see a conversion therapist, which I'm not to keen on. If I leave home and stay with a friend, will I (or my... View More

First, you and your parents should be aware that the Maryland State legislature just passed a law banning conversion therapy on anyone under the age of 18. The governor has said he will sign it. This pseudoscience has been widely discredited as junk science.

You will have to petition the district court in the county you live in to emancipate you. It is up to the district judge but if your mother consents and the judge believes it is appropriate, it could be granted.

Such a lawsuit would be barred by the workers compensation statutes. Workers compensation is an exclusive remedy. You should ask your question of an attorney who practices in that field.

This is not a patent question. Justia needs to revise their topics to make it Patent/inventions as Patents looks a lot like Parents. You may want to drop the patent topic from this question
Good luck.
