answered on Feb 14, 2022
I'm sorry for the alarming letter you received. In general, a driver can be sued if they are liable in the accident. Public entities such as departments of transportation, power companies, etc. do go after drivers for damage to their structures or equipment. As a starting point, you could... View More

Firstly, do you have your own car insurance? If so, you need to report this accident to them immediately. If you have car insurance, hopefully they can pay the cost to replace your vehicle, although, I'm sure, it won't be much considering the year of the vehicle. Did the police come to... View More

WHY NOT SUE UNDER BOTH NAMES.
HOWEVER, YOU SHOULD BE ADVISED A LAWYER WOULD NORMALLY ONLY TAKE A CASE LIKE THIS ON AN HOURLY.......AND NOT A CONTINGENCY.
YOU CAN ALWAYS SUE ANYONE FOR ANYTHING......THE ISSUE IS MORE, WILL YOU WIN AND CAN YOU AFFORD A LAWYER.

They never returned a repaired car to you. They did not live up to their end of the contract. I would not be inclined to pay the bill. You can submit the bill to their insurer and ask them to pay it.

There's always a possibility that you have a case. However, you will want to consider a two key questions: damages and causation. First, as to damages, many personal injury suits have damages such as medical bills, lost income, etc. Therefore, the key question is whether your injury, presuming... View More
My mom choked and almosg died from trying to swallow a pill that was large and meant to be dissolved in water. There was no choking warning anywhere on the packaging and the directions only say to dissolve in water.

A California attorney could answer best, but your question remains open for three weeks. I'm sorry for your mother's choking incident with the pill. Law firms could be reluctant to accept such a case because the element of damages does not appear to be something of a long-term or... View More
I got a 3k check from my car insurance, repair shop was supposed to charge me it plus $500 deductible from my end. They only charged me $500 total and are just now asking for the check.
I live near Chicago, Illinois . Thanks lol
answered on Feb 3, 2022
Well, its your lucky day. The amount of check from the insurance was based upon an estimate of damage provided to them by their adjuster or an outside body shop. The fact that the body shop charged you less in the end should not change the amount of the check from the insurance. If the check is... View More

answered on Jan 17, 2022
Likely depends on the purchase agreement, company policy, as well as the status of the part that was ordered.
