Q: What’s an appropriate settlement amount for food poisoning ?

Diagnosed with food poisoning by hospital, out of work for a week. Had proof of the that it was the restaurant’s responsibility. I want to be fairly compensated but I also wasn’t to be fair to the company as well.

Q: I'm being charged 2000 for rent as a live in home manager. My take home is only 500 a check biweekly.

I would concur that is not right. You should renegotiate your employment agreement or secure alternative employment and quit.

The landlord is incorrect. What matters is what is stated in the lease agreement, not what is stated in the advertisement.

Yes, of course you can.

There is no statute of limitations in Texas for manslaughter. They can indict you at any time.

In a JP case, you have 21 days from the date the judgment was signed. See TRCP 506

Request a paternity test to determine if the child is yours. If it is, enter into an agreement for child support.

If you buy the property in a tax foreclosure sale, yes. But you do not automatically obtain title to a property simply by paying past due taxes.
