If you have signed a lease, the oil company is now the owner of the minerals. (An oil and gas lease is actually a fee simple determinable deed). Good question. You have stated there are no witnesses or evidence of any kind against you tying you to the car or any paraphernalia. Regarding the survivorship deed you are automatically the owner of the property . A new deed typically is not needed especially since you filed the affidavit of survivorship.
